Public Service Announcements

The BC Epilepsy Society is committed to increasing public awareness and understanding about epilepsy. One way we do this is through producing public service announcements for television, radio, and print sources.

Our staff worked with a volunteer team of actors, directors, producers, and other production crew to create two public service announcements (PSAs) for launch on YouTube and for delivery to television stations across British Columbia.
"You Can't Swallow Your Tongue During a Seizure!"
A humourous, lighthearted, and quirky take on seizure first aid procedures.

You can view it at YouTube, on television, and from our website (best viewed in Quicktime).

Produced by Shane Nasmith, directed by Devon Villard, edited by Sam Trounce, and with music composed by Sam Levin.

"Epilepsy Awareness with Seizure Man"

A look at the importance of a healthy lifestyle and epilepsy.

You can view it at YouTube, on television, and from our website (best viewed in Quicktime). A radio version is available here

The PSA was developed with a team of volunteer writers, actors, and director David Footman.

In 2010, Charity Village selected the "Seizure Man" as one of the 15 best charity PSAs in Canada.
