BCES At Pride!

BCES At Pride!

On Sunday August 4th, the BC Epilepsy Society was proud to take part in the Vancouver Pride Festival at Sunset Beach Park, where we were able to support the LGBTQAI2S+ community and spread awareness about epilepsy and promote our programs and services to the public.

Staff and volunteers of the BC Epilepsy Society got the chance to talk about our organization with various members of the community and provide people with information and resources on epilepsy. We also promoted our I AM A VOICE for Epilepsy Awareness™ campaign, which is our international initiative designed to help people become more aware of epilepsy and decrease stigma.

At our booth, we gave away many items, including bracelets and purple glitter tattoos, courtesy of the BC Epilepsy Society, and additional prizes from two of our sponsors: GOLD’S GYM and Vida Spas. We also did fun activities with the public, including face painting, purple hair spray, temporary tattoos and a photo booth.

We hope that everyone that participated in the Vancouver Pride Festival this year had a great time! Be sure to check out the events tab on our website to find out about other events we will be taking part in the future.
