Data done on pediatric epilepsy surgery by Dwivedi et al. (2017) found that 77% of children and youth living with epilepsy were seizure free at one year after epilepsy brain surgery compared to only 7% of children and youth living with epilepsy who were seizure free at one year after receiving medical therapy alone.
