Join the BC Epilepsy Society and the I AM A VOICE for Epilepsy Awareness™ campaign on Thursday May 21st from 7 PM to 8 PM for the Ketogenic Diet & Epilepsy Webinar to learn about the ketogenic diet as a treatment option for epilepsy.
This webinar will focus on the use of the ketogenic diet as a treatment option for people with epilepsy, providing a review of the different mechanisms of the ketogenic diet therapy, its clinical efficacy and side effects and more from the perspectives of a pediatric neurologist and a registered dietician who are using the ketogenic diet in their practice.
About the Speakers:
- Dr. Linda Huh, MD, FRCPC is a pediatric neurologist at British Columbia Children’s Hospital who graduated from Medical School at the University of Ottawa and completed her residency in Pediatrics from Memorial University and completed two fellowships, one in Pediatric Neurology at the University of British Columbia and one in Epilepsy at Yale University. She is currently a pediatric neurologist and the Director of the Ketogenic Diet Program at British Columbia Children’s Hospital.
- Lawren Fischer, BSC, RD is a registered dietician who graduated from the Dietetics Program at the University of British Columbia. She is currently the Ketogenic Diet Program Dietician at British Columbia Children’s Hospital.
