What do we have planned during Epilepsy Awareness Month?

How is the BC Epilepsy Society going to celebrate Epilepsy Awareness Month this March? Please see below for more information on the exciting events we have planned:

Cassidy Megan Meet and Greet: Members of BC’s epilepsy community have the chance to meet Cassidy Megan, the founder of International PURPLE DAY® for Epilepsy Awareness at our meet and greet event at Charles Rummel Centre in Burnaby on Tuesday March 5th, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Tickets can be purchased here.

INvisible Event: Cassidy Megan will be one of the speakers at INvisible, an incredible evening of inspiration, highlighting local stories of resilience at Landmark Cinemas New Westminster on Wednesday March 6th at 6:30 PM with doors opening at 6 PM. Tickets can be purchased here.

Charity Fitness Classes: Some fitness centres in BC are hosting charity classes in March with proceeds going to BC Epilepsy Society.

  • Rumble Boxing Mount Pleasant – Saturday March 9th at 2:45 PM. Register by donation here.
  • Oxygen Yoga Delta – Sunday March 10th at 10:45 AM. Class is fully booked.
  • Rumble Boxing Yaletown – Saturday March 16th at 2:45 PM. Register by donation here.
  • Oxygen Yoga Brentwood – Saturday March 23rd at 2:45 PM. Register by donation here.
  • CMMN GRND – Sunday March 24th at 1:30 PM. Registration information coming soon.
  • Oxygen Yoga Aldergrove – Wednesday March 27th at 11 AM. Register in-person at the Oxygen Yoga Aldergrove studio

Red Bird Brewing Purp-Ale Ale!: For every pint of Purp-Ale Ale, a beautiful purple ale that they sell in March, Red Bird Brewing are donating to the BC Epilepsy Society in honour of March being Epilepsy Awareness Month (also known as Purple Month) and March 26th being International PURPLE DAY® for Epilepsy Awareness!
