BC Epilepsy Society Camp Subsidy Applications Now Being Accepted

We are pleased to announce that the BC Epilepsy Society Camp Subsidy Program – which helps to cover the costs of various camp programs – is now accepting applications!

Every year, we receive designated donations specific for camp subsidies, which are awarded to children and youth living with epilepsy in BC attending a summer camp program or adaptive day camp program who may need extra support due to medical needs and/or learning or physical disabilities.

Camps are a great way for children and youth living with epilepsy to develop social and leadership skills, increase independence, and explore new activities.

Many summer camp programs in BC are offering camps that can be done via distance means, including virtual, remote, and online camps. If you will be attending one of these types of camps, you can apply for our Camp Subsidy Program.

The subsidies may reimburse camp costs up to $150 and are awarded on the basis of financial need. To be eligible, recipients must be a current member of the BC Epilepsy Society. Please click here to become a member of the BC Epilepsy Society.
